Urban Flooring

TPB urban flooring combine aesthetics and creativity with rigor and quality, providing urban, residential or commercial leisure spaces with style, functionality and durability.

Grupo TPB offers complete solutions for urban flooring according to the needs of each customer.

STAMPED CONCRETE

The stamped concrete floors take advantage of the best that exists in a concrete floor, adding to it the beauty and style that the various sets of molds give it.

The resistance, versatility and durability, combined with the wide range of colors and shapes, allow you to find the best solution for each leisure space. TPB stamped concrete floors are applied in all situations of urban, residential or commercial floors, always with enormous advantages in speed of execution, easy maintenance and in the quality of the products applied.

DEACTIVATED CONCRETE

The execution of deactivated concrete floors has seen an increasing demand in Portugal.

TPB was a pioneer in the execution of this type of floor, continuing to accompany and encourage the growth of this paving technique.

Executed with gravel or pebble finish, the deactivated concrete floor has a quality equivalent to that of stamped concrete floors, differentiating itself by aesthetics and high wear resistance, being an adaptable solution to numerous situations.

When designing a deactivated concrete floor, it must be taken into account that the appearance of the surface obtained depends mainly on the selection of the inert material, its color, granulometry and shape (gravel or pebble).

PERVIOUS CONCRETE

Pervious concrete is an attractive and quality solution for urban, sports and residential environments, where a permeable floor is desired.

Using the same raw materials as ordinary concrete with the exception of the fine fraction, making the granulometric curve of the concrete a poorly graduated curve, pervious concrete is especially used in places where it is desired to maintain a high level of soil permeability, avoid accumulation of water, allowing the realization of pavements of constant level and without the concern of creating slopes for the flow of waters.

The range of colors can be adapted through prior study.

100% Draining

Pervious concrete has a high void index, allowing large amounts of water to flow unobstructed. Used as an outdoor pavement, it collects rainwater causing it to seep directly into the soil, thus relieving the rainwater drainage network.

The application of pervious concrete makes it possible to maintain the level of underground aquifers and reduce the speed and amount of surface runoff from rainwater. In addition, it allows more efficient use of the soil since it minimizes, or even dispenses with, other local micro drainage works, such as water retention points, ditches, among others.

With highly permeable characteristics, the porous concrete normally presents an index of 15 to 30% of voids and an average flow of water in the order of 200L / m2 / min. This material is recommended for places with light or low traffic since, due to its high porosity, it has less resistance than current concrete.

Pervious concrete is the ideal solution for urban areas, both in environmental and economic terms. Depending on local regulations and the characteristics of the environment, the pavement and its sub-base may have sufficient infiltration capacity to eliminate the need for other drainage works.

Ecological

and sustainable

With the increase in the urbanization process, the construction of impermeable areas is seen, which alter the volume and quality characteristics of the hydrological cycle. As a consequence, there is an increase in urban floods and a deterioration in the quality of rainwater.

Pervious concrete allows rainwater to infiltrate soils, enriching aquifers and maintaining local ecosystems.

Taking into account the draining characteristics and properties, the porous concrete system meets the most demanding building certification requirements, such as LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.
